We are so excited for everyone who got engaged over the holidays!
There is so much excitement when you are first engaged; family and friends to tell and join in celebrating, day dreaming about the future and starting your wedding plans.
But, what should you do first?
Don't worry ladies, we have laid out the first three, vital steps to starting your wedding planning process.
Follow the jump to see what they are.
1. Set your budget
This can be tough because, often, parents have offered to help with finances and it can be uncomfortable to nail down a set dollar amount. However, we promise that asking your financial aids to confirm now will help make your wedding planning so much smoother!
Make sure to set your budget first before starting, booking or committing anything.
2. Create your guest list.
Your guest list will likely morph a little bit throughout the planning process but, create a list that is as thorough as it can be now. Knowing your guest list will allow you to book the right venue, know how much you can spend per person on catering, estimate how many tables and chair you will need etc.
3. Book your venue.
Next you should book your as this will secure your date and help you decide on which vendors to use (e.i. Do you need a mobile caterer or does your venue have catering.)
